no, no, no. It's fine. No, no, no. It's just like you have to like, I mean, you know I've got the ADHD. And so you have to keep like putting it in front of me, putting it in front of me. Sometimes. That's what you that's you should tell yourself that. It's totally fine. Like sometimes I'm in the clinic and the reception staff will call back and say, Hey, your next appointment is in room four. And I'm like, great.

JoJo (00:46)
Yeah.

That's what I tell myself.

You've told me that that is okay. Yeah.

Thank you. And I'll be like, okay, I'm gonna finish the sentence I'm writing. And then I will literally for two minutes forget and think, well, what I should I do next? Like I will wrap up the email, finish the record and think, I wonder what I should do next. And then I'm like, yeah, you room for is what you do next.

JoJo (01:17)
Ha ha ha.

Room four. Whereas my brain

is like room four, room four, room four, room four, room four. Like I don't forget. Yeah. Very different. That's so funny. That's why it works. That's why it works.

Yeah, we were doing the sound check and I

was like, I have to admit JoJo like I've been really worried all week that you hate working here and you're gonna quit.

And then

I said, I've been worried all week that you're gonna fire me. and my reason for thinking that 'cause I don't usually feel insecure in that way. My reason is 'cause I can't get us followers, Angie.

Angie (02:18)
We unlock like for what?

JoJo (02:19)
I can't, I don't know how to

do this. Like, well, not that we're here for followers and fame, but business does rely on people finding us, right? So I look at other influencers or people who are doing podcasts and I'm like, what what are we doing wrong? What are we doing? Like, how do they have tens of thousands of people?

How's that happening? I don't know.

I mean I mean they probably promote their podcast. We don't we just record it. And we don't promote it.

JoJo (02:48)
That's true. And it's so much work to do what we

do to to record, edit, post. I'm starting to make clips. If you're not on our newsletter list, I mean it's content, content, content, and the algorithms change but I still want to drive people to the site and it's just a whole non nursing world.

Mm-hmm.

Right. You're doing an amazing job. Amazing. I I am so happy with how things are going. We don't ever promote our podcast. And whenever we do promote our podcasts, it's either to our list, which they engage, you know, those are our people, right? We already have our people. And then you're post it to Instagram. And I don't I don't think that's coming from an egoic place. I'm just like, this is good content. Like it's free content. I don't know. So it's like, she's gonna fire me. Whatever. Not whatever. Whatever. I mean like whatever. I'm gonna have to figure that crap out.

they're on like really benign episodes. Yeah, we didn't do anything wrong. They just got flagged. I don't know. If I were a person it's like so funny, because today's yeah, probably. You're too happy. You said a pet's dying and then you laughed. Like so bad.

because I mean I think I'm so over that story. And it's great. I think I really believe that we're okay.

Yeah, so don't fire me and I'm not quitting. I but I think you feel like I'm quitting every time I go on a trip. And even though nothing really changed like we didn't text any less or talk any less, the content still went out, the emails still got answered, but I was just further in distance away. Do you think that's what's happening? You're like, she went away. But she came back like a dog.

Like the other night when you I had a text and be like, we need to reschedule this and you're like, Okay, I'll call tomorrow and then you said G N for goodnight and was like, She hates me.

JoJo (06:06)
But I Yeah.

actually it gave me here's the truth. It gave me I was mad because I wasn't mad at you. I was mad like, I have to call and reschedule. That means I have to pick up the phone and I didn't do it. I didn't call Sam back. So it was just that and and that I had a carpet cleaner coming. Cause Sage was gonna be out of the house, but I really wanted to reschedule the carpet cleaner.

Angie (06:22)
Uhhuh. Uhhuh. Okay.

Uh-huh.

JoJo (06:35)
And so I immediately was like, Good night, I'm gonna call the carpet cleaner and cancel. So because I really wanted to do that. Because we wanted to bump it out, but I didn't have a good excuse. And now I'm like, I have an aggressive dog in the house that appointment got canceled. So yeah. So I wasn't mad. I wasn't mad at all. It was more of like, I realize how much I hate making phone calls. Is that an introvert thing? What is that?

Angie (06:49)
Right. Right.

Okay, good.

Okay. That's good. You don't hate me.

I don't know. I I'm not sure. I will make all your phone calls. You should be like, will you call my carpet people? I'll be like, sure.

JoJo (07:05)
I hate calling.

Ha ha.

No, I hate making phone calls. I hate it. And I think that's true of the younger generation.

Angie (07:18)
That's what I was gonna say. I was gonna lump you in there. Well, you you are surrounded by the younger generation. The Z. Yeah.

JoJo (07:20)
But somehow I've picked that up.

Yeah. I don't know. Texting is so much easier. If I could text

Sam and schedule my appointment be no problem. I don't know what it is. I'm not mad at. I'm not mad at you. Okay, and like we had so many things to catch up on. Like last time I talked to you, you were having some medical stuff done. And then you had court and you had all these things. And I get like one sentence updates and I'm like, yeah. Like, what happened?

Angie (07:39)
Okay, good.

Yeah.

I know.

I know. Okay. So I was having some problems like with well, I've had a history of endometriosis. I'm just gonna put my medical history out into the world. And and then I was having some problems with like cyst rupturing, which are extremely painful. And I would be like out of everything for like a day or two. And so I went to my midwife, and because I still think like nurse practitioners and nurses are like,

JoJo (08:11)
So painful.

Angie (08:22)
some some of the best practitioners because they actually listen to you. and so I was like, hey, I'm having this. And so she did a pelvic exam and she's like, it seems like your uterus is big. And I was like

So then they did an ultrasound and it's not and then I also thought I had like ovarian cancer. That was the other thing. So I'm like at the office taking our little like tiny ultrasound unit that we use for cystos, and I'm like trying. It's really hard to image your own ovaries over like well, you can't really get to them. They're like tucked down in your pelvis. So anyway, so I got

JoJo (08:44)

to check yourself.

Yeah. And then read that image.

that's why yeah.

Angie (09:03)
A real ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound. I know. You can just deal. And

JoJo (09:04)
A trans vaginal ultrasound. Just every woman knows what that is. Men can just deal. Yeah.

Angie (09:14)
it's totally fine. Everything's fine. Yeah. So I love that. My ovaries look good. They yeah. So

JoJo (09:16)
Good. Okay, good.

Good. Right before I

went to Saint Martin, Angie, I got a positive pregnancy test at my doctor's office and she sent it in and it came back positive again. And I was like, okay. This is like a summer miracle that doesn't need to happen. That's not like no way. And she's like, no, it's just like w the way your hormones do like H C G is it H C G apparently it can just like

Angie (09:33)
Stop.

Yeah, huh.

JoJo (09:52)
Your pituitary glands just drop a ton of hormone when you're in menopause. And it it it lights up a pregnancy test. So then they have to order like FSH testing and all that kind of stuff. So I went to Saint Martin with a p positive pregnancy test.

Angie (09:57)
So why did they test for that? But why would they ever do that?

Why would anyone

But why would they ever test you? Who was testing you and what?

JoJo (10:13)
because

I was having some issues. But she's like, I just have to test these hormones. And she had warned me, it might come back positive. Like, is there any chance that you're pregnant? I'm like, No. And then when it came back, I'm like, What is that? That's like scary. No.

Angie (10:27)
So

did you think for a minute you could actually be pregnant? Okay. Okay. Okay. So you knew.

JoJo (10:32)
No. No.

If I no. But it was just weird. That's weird. Cause the labs came through. You know how you get those before your doctor. It's like tested and retested. Positive for pregnancy. Like hmm. No babies. No babies. so

Angie (10:39)
Yeah, that is weird.

Yes. Yes.

Ha ha

That would make your life no, no, that'd be crazy. Okay,

so you went to Saint Martin.

JoJo (11:00)
Fun little country countries, I guess. It's two countries and one little island. So I loved it. I'm tan. Tan restored relaxed. Flying frontier airlines though is such a joke.

Angie (11:02)
Yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Is it really well, you got one of those passes that like you can fly any time?

JoJo (11:18)
Yeah, I go everywhere.

That's where I'm going. Like we go to Guatemala next couple of weeks. So yeah.

Angie (11:23)
Okay. And so

what 'cause you just you can't like have a bag, your seat's small, like what's going on?

JoJo (11:29)
No, I have a bag.

I have a carry on. It's the the seats are so uncomfortable. That just like with my sciatic, my back hurts so bad. And so this time I brought a giant seat cushion and I'm like, yep, I just became that old lady carrying it around and I don't care.

Angie (11:44)
Wait s

so are they different than like United and Southwest or Well I mean Okay.

JoJo (11:49)
Yeah, it's not comfy. They don't recline. No.

They don't serve you any water. They don't have any videos. They don't have Wi Fi. It's like basic.

Angie (11:57)
What?

You don't have Wi Fi?

Okay. Well

JoJo (12:06)
Yeah. But I get

you from here to there.

Angie (12:10)
Sure. For almost nothing. Okay. Well, I guess you can get what you pay for. Okay.

JoJo (12:11)
So Almost nothing. Yep. Okay. That's my update. Yeah. Totally.

It's I guess it's worth it.

Yeah. Yep. I spent some time in court. Some f some time in family court with my co parents.

JoJo (12:24)
Mm-hmm.

And you guys Doctor Angie was her own attorney.

Angie (12:32)
For a minute, but not I didn't represent myself in court. no. No, I represented myself until I think my attorney entered in like the night before our status conference. Yeah, because then I was like, I can't do this. I'm not I can't I can't do it. So but so that so I did that on my birthday.

JoJo (12:35)
you didn't. I thought you were.

Yeah.

Yes. So fun.

He's he's

a very expensive person to be divorced from. I'll say that.

JoJo (13:05)

yeah, I feel like you work to support your court cases. Yeah. And you do the I hope that one day your girls understand what it's all for.

Angie (13:09)
I work to litigate. No.

Yes. Yes, I hope so. Cause I really only well, I actually never really pick the battles, but like I only reciprocate anything that's like in their best interest, you know. And so I have to so sometimes if you're my client I'm not calling you back, it's probably because I'm litigating, I'm talking to my attorney or I'm trying to be my own attorney, or you know, it's like a whole part of my life. Like when I date people, which we I we have to do an update on that too.

When I date people, that's like one of the disclosures where I'm like, no, I'm gonna have to tell them that it's like this kind of central part of my life. And so, yeah, it's it's just part of what happens.

JoJo (13:54)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

I know, who we choose to make kids with impacts you for decades. Mm-hmm.

Angie (14:11)
Yeah. It doesn't really matter who you marry. It matters who

you parent with. Like 'cause you're you're stuck together. And so and if if they don't want to play nice in the sandbox, then you're in that sandbox for a whole while.

JoJo (14:18)
Uh-huh.

Yeah but

it was kind of a happy birthday.

Angie (14:32)
Well, I mean I won. I just was like probably like, I don't know, six thousand dollars poorer.

JoJo (14:34)
Yeah, that's happy.

Yes. which is why we don't talk for two weeks at a time. 'Cause you're out there hustling. You picked up shifts too. There was a week. There was a week that you worked six days.

Angie (14:43)
Yeah. I know 'cause I just I'm just hustling all the time.

Yes, I got just

I did work, yeah. The week before I went to court, I worked six days in a row. I got to go work for Bonnie Abbott's clinic in Erie at Vista. It was so lovely. I love that clinic and it's nice 'cause she's there. So I'm like, I'm working and have girlfriend time. So like I mean, it's very intermittent and we're talking about cases most of the time. But, you know, I got to show up to work and got a big hug and you know, like

JoJo (15:04)
Yeah. How is that?

Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Angie (15:22)
It's it was it was great. It was great. Yeah. Yeah. They are still independent. Yeah. They are not corporate.

JoJo (15:24)
Are they still independent? Yeah. Okay.

Angie (15:33)
Let's see. That woman I went on a date with, we've gone on more dates. Yes. Plurals. Yeah. I I like her a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Did I? Yep. That's exciting. And she has, because I was thinking about like when, you know, when you're dating, you always want to know like what kind of animals people have.

JoJo (15:37)
Yeah. plurals.

Okay. And you're smiling. You actually got a little blushy. Like Yeah.

And she has two doodles and a Bengal cat.

Interesting. Okay. What kind of doodles?

And I think it says a lot about her.

She has a golden doodle and a labradoodle.

Uhhuh.

Okay, so big dogs.

Angie (16:15)
Well yeah. One of 'em's big and one of 'em's not so big, but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She doesn't have like German shepherds or not that I don't love a German shepherd, I do. But I also think about what people's dogs say about them, like what dogs people choose to get. I don't know what it says about me that I have pugs or I've had pugs, but what does that say about me?

like the the labradoodle and the golden doodle, those are like soft choices. Those are like what well like not even like people that want a doodle aren't like they're soft people, meaning that like they're kind and you know, that's kind of a soft decision. It's not like I need to get a Malinois or I need to have a cattle dog or you know.

JoJo (16:48)
Mm. Like entry point choices, or what do you mean by soft choices?

Yeah. But then

then her Bengal cat is kind of exotic.

Actually Bengal's probably tougher than the doodles.

So you're having some fun. Doing some court. Working a lot. Don't have ovarian cancer. These are all good updates. I'm not pregnant. I'm still employed. I still want to be here. You still want me here. Like mostly those are all good updates.

It's a good season. Good season of life. And we need to get Sage out to see you. I just gotta pick up the phone to call. I started like making

my list of things that we need to do while she's sedated. We need to trim her nails, which is I feel like that's such a lame thing because I know how to do this and I can I just don't wanna ruin my relationship with her. She hates it. It is I know, but I I think it's always funny. Not funny.

What do we need to do?

Wait, no, that's not lame. That's not lame. No.

JoJo (18:14)
How often that's a thing that people come to the vet wanting done are nails. But now I get it. Cause she's just not she's not having it. It like hurts our relationship. So I'm like, we're gonna cut those, we're gonna cut those nice and short. And you know, and I've tried the Dremel and everything with her. She's just not having it. And then when she's got a lump, she's got a little mass that I'm hoping Well, she has another one in her ribs that feels like a li poma, but I can never always find it.

Yeah.

She's never had it.

do that. I just figure while she's there, you're gonna look in her mouth. Uhhuh. We're gonna clean her ears.

gonna hate it. Like she hates a car ride, like all of it. She is such a little homebody. She would be happy if she just lived in our house and front porch with a few walks. She is a COVID puppy. I think they're starting to see I think they're starting to do some research on those dogs. And finding that they really do have social anxiety.

She's a covet puppy.

Yeah, they're all like that.

They do. Are we gonna we're gonna have to sedate her in the car, right? We're not even getting her in the clinic is

No, the last time I brought her into a clinic, everybody came out looking not happy. She drained her anal glands all over somebody. She tried to bite. Yeah. She is not having it, yeah.

Angie (19:58)
Yeah.

so scared. So scared.

I wonder if we could like should we get her out of the car and like walk her down the sidewalk and she's not gonna have it.

JoJo (20:14)
She's not gonna have it.

If you're a stranger, she's gonna turn and she's gonna like you're gonna yeah. She's not gonna have it. Yeah, but it takes like an hour.

Angie (20:21)
But she's nice to me when I'm at your house.

That's true. Yeah. So okay, so we're gonna have

I don't know. And she just went

through like this and we're gonna have to submit it to insurance. It's gonna be my first insurance submission. Yeah. we should just do blood work too while we we have her. She's never had a baseline. Yep, all of it. Well, I do the next gard Yeah. She yeah, she had hers like two days ago. So so we're gonna do the whole workup and it's gonna feel good. And we might talk about her

We really should. Heartworm test. Does she get ticks? Don't get you That's right. Okay, that's g good for you. Good for you.

obviously you could just hand it to me and I could just do it. Right? Because it's gonna be an IM It's gonna be an IM right? So it's gonna sting a little bit. This is where I feel like a jerk, because I could do it and save everybody, but I also don't want to do it. So

I thought we could either do the Sileo I hate that word. It feels like it should be pronounced different than that. I think it's Sileo That sounds even worse coming out. Let's call it Sileo. Yeah, exactly. Which is for those listening, it's a little oral, like on the gum line.

Yeah. Is it Sileo or Silio?

I like saleo butter. 'Cause then it doesn't feel silly.

Right. Okay, so if we do that, will that change our injectable protocol? Let's see, let me let me yeah, probably not.

Probably not. I don't know, maybe.

Or if we did the walking thing, we could do like the extended walking. You know, where they put the little butterfly in, but they have a line on it. So you're not next to her. Have you seen this? It's a great it's amazing. Yeah. And I've we've done it before in practice. So you No, no, we haven't had to. We don't we've never had that issue for some reason.

But where you can just you you just but you're way over here 'cause it has a line and then you're just so they just feel like somebody's walking them. They feel like they got a little bee sting, but really you're injecting from far away.

Okay, so okay, let's say you're walking her. I'm gonna walk up behind her and place a twenty five gauge butterfly catheter in her muscle.

JoJo (22:49)
Yeah. And just Tink.

Like butterfly. Yeah, and you're gonna have

a little line attached to it, so a little longer. And you're just gonna so it it probably has if I remember, it must have saline in it.

Angie (23:00)
Yeah.

right, right, right, right. Unless you could load up I need a video of this. Okay, okay, okay.

I'll have to send it to you. I'll send it to you. 'Cause I'm

like, that could work. 'Cause she won't so she doesn't have time to react. And by that time you're already so far away.

And but how far I mean the butterfly catheter things are only

far enough that she's like Yeah, it's it's it's longer than the butterfly. I'll have to give I'll send it to you.

Okay, 'cause maybe we should get that. Let me 'cause we only have like the regular butterflies. So I wonder if we need to do something longer like that. That would be so that would be great. Because in that shopping center, there's all this stuff going on. And if we're just like walking her down the shopping center.

JoJo (23:30)
Yeah.

what was that? And then that's the end of that. I mean she's gonna be terrified no matter what, 'cause new place, new people, new things. And, you know. I don't know how else you would do it. How else are you gonna do it? I'm gonna I'm gonna muzzle her and you might just have to do it.

Well sometimes we'll just muzzle them and then we'll put just a towel over their head and then we just do it fast, you know.

Yeah, I think
